About Us

A personal dedication and commitment to serving those in need

OUR FOUNDER

Growing up, Niko was surrounded by multiple successful small business entrepreneurs. He has experience in both the tech world and in the medical space, so getting into home healthcare just felt natural to him. After a sad experience with his grandfather, he knew he needed to find a way to provide better care to seniors in this country.

OUR STORY

The start of our venture, Family Home Care, is deeply rooted in a personal journey—one that began with a unique and cherished bond between myself and my grandfather. As his first grandchild, we shared countless treasured memories that defined my upbringing. However, as the years passed, subtle signs signaled that something was wrong with him. He was soon diagnosed with dementia.

This disheartening experience opened my eyes to the pressing issues surrounding end-of-life care in our nation. It ignited a personal mission, a commitment to ensuring that seniors always experience the utmost care and preventing seniors from living through a similar experience.

As we navigated the complexities of this condition, our family witnessed his gradual decline, leading to the need for hospice care. Despite the adversity, my grandfather showed remarkable resilience, surpassing the six-month maximum hospice stay. This unexpected extension, however, led to the company removing his specialized bed, leaving him with multiple large and painful bed sores. The situation took a sad turn when hospice providers tried convincing my family to give him morphine so he would pass sooner.

At Family Home Care it is our mission to make sure no family has to live through a similar situation. We are committed to ensuring families are taken care of every step of the way.
